Parkmount Street with police cordon tape

North Belfast DUP MP Nigel Dodds has called for full co-operation with the police investigation into the death of a 30 year old man, which is being treated as murder.

The man was treated by ambulance staff in the Parkmount Street area yesterday evening (Thursday) and was taken to hospital where he unfortunately died from his injuries.

Nigel Dodds commented,
"It is shocking to hear that a man has died after sustaining injuries on Thursday evening. This has caused great shock in this settled and close-knit community off North Queen Street.

"I wish to appeal for full co-operation with the police, in what is now a murder investigation.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with his man's family and friends at this time of sudden bereavement."
